Friday, October 6th, 2023 ART AND CULTURAL EXCHANGE FIRST FRIDAY

Join us for a special evening of art and cultural exchange at Cheryl Eve Acosta's Sculptural Jewelry studio on October 6th from 5-8 pm. The event celebrates the fusion of creativity and international connections as we proudly welcome the International Relations Council (a globally informed, engaged, and active Kansas City community that welcomes diverse perspectives and connects through a sincere desire to contribute to our shared future) during this monthly First Friday’s tradition in the Kansas City Crossroads. This vibrant evening will also showcase the stunning abstract paintings by the celebrated painter Leslie Beck who uses sound and color to express the re-discovery of self.  Come meet the artists and immerse yourself in a unique dialogue that amplifies the cross-cultural vibrancy of our community. Elemental: Interpretations in Meta

December 2nd, my sculptural Jewelry will be part of an opening reception called Elemental: Interpretations in Metal at the Reuben Saunders Gallery in Wichita, Kansas. This group exhibition will highlight twelve unique and brilliant metalsmithing artists from Kansas and the Midwest Region. The collective of metalsmith artists embodies a culmination of elemental processes, materials, and concepts in their work. Through the manipulation of metals, the body adornment, holloware, and sculpture exhibited represent diversity in expression and beauty. The show will run until December 29th, 2022!

Open Studio - Featured Artist

I am excited to open my Kansas City Crossroads studio and welcome Michele Renee Sherlock as the featured guest artist for our First Friday Solo Exhibition in the closing reception on November 4th! My jewelry showroom will be open as well for those shopping for a gift.

Michele is a Kansas City-based contemporary abstract painter who works with acrylics and mixed media. Her process enjoys the freedom of expression within her artworks. Michele's paintings will be on display and available for purchase at Cheryl Eve Acosta's Crossroads studio until November 9th. A payment link and invoice will be sent via email after the event. If we don’t have your email, after the event please email adorn@cheryleve.com. You can also message privately on ZOOM if we are still connected. Payment is required within 24 hours of receiving your payment link or invoice. Non-payment may result in exclusion from future sale events as you are preventing someone else to make the purchase.

SHIPPING:

There will be a $6 shipping rate - through insured USPS Priority Mail, regardless of how many items are purchased. For local event attendees, you may also pick up your jewelry at the artist’s studio and shop for other items not presented. Please indicate your preference. Please allow a allow 24 hrs before items are shipped as we collect payments.

WAITLIST:

In case an item is not paid within the 24 hours timeframe, it will go to the second person who commented: “SOLD”.

Country Club Plaza Pop-Ups - Cheryl Eve Acosta

The Plaza Art Fair might have been canceled this year, however, the outdoor Plaza Pop-Up artist weekend and month celebration are happening instead! I’m excited to have an outdoor three-day pop-up jewelry truck at Terrasi Living and Scandia Home at Penguin Court who also invited live local music including Sisters and Strings Infusion and 2 Cellos KC. Please join us for a reimagined both indoor/outdoor weekend with unique wearable art for sale, live classical to pop music along with other artists, retailers, and restaurants open!

The Country Club Plaza will celebrate through a variety of events and installations, the photography, paintings, 3D mixed media, sculptures, jewelry, and other works that were created by more than 20 local and regional artists. As part of the reimagined celebration, windows and storefronts throughout the Plaza will showcase artistic works through October 5.

Live Friday Nights Arts! / April 24th

Do you love art and music? Then you have to check out our new event in partnership with Arts KC in an effort to support local artists!

Every Friday night, tune in to view the work from 6 different artists or musicians from their home studios. You also can ask questions and interact directly with the artists. You’ll have the chance to hear the stories behind their work and see exclusive work they’ve never shared. A new artist goes live every 30 minutes so tune in for your favorites or stay to see them all.

We will go live from Zoom (download the app ahead of time). A computer, phone, or tablet with internet to join the Zoom. Feel free to pour yourself a beverage!
