Only a small percentage of all life forms are preserved as fossils and even fewer are discovered. While living in the desert of New Mexico, I would find several fossilized biological structures, which gave life to my collection Presence. Drawing with square silver wire, my linear forms emerged from exoskeleton remains that represent a snapshot in the process of evolution.
