Spinner Ring Workshop
Mindful Metals: Connect, Create, and Calm….
The process of creating art has a profound ability to heal and calm the nervous system, guiding us into a flowing, meditative state. The rhythmic motions of crafting—whether hammering metal, shaping a design, or simply focusing on the details—help quiet the mind by being more present. Engaging in hands-on creativity shifts us from stress to serenity, connecting the mind and body into a more centered, focused, and relaxed state.
In this immersive, hands-on workshop you will explore essential jewelry-making techniques to create your one-spinner ring. You'll learn essential jewelry-making techniques such as sawing, hammering, soldering, sanding, etc while working with specialized tools and guided by a professional artist. You'll gain lifelong skills using fundamental jewelry tools and leave with a beautifully handcrafted spinner ring of your own.
More than just a jewelry class, this Mindful Metals experience is designed to nurture both creativity and calm. Spinner rings, also known as fidget rings, are used to reduce anxiety, promote focus, and provide a soothing, meditative motion. Upon request, we’ll also explore mindfulness breathing techniques to enhance relaxation—both while making and wearing your ring.
This one-day class is open to students 18 and up, and all materials are included. A short lunch break will be provided. Space is limited to just three students to ensure personalized instruction. The class must be full for the class to launch.
